From 67 kgs to 50kgs.. here is my post partum weight lost story..
Before I start I want you to know that here you won't find any diet chart or exercises or any motivational journey of weight loss. I lost weight taking me own sweet time, doing simple tasks and eating right thing at right time ..

I was 67kgs when I delivered... After coming home we follow a traditional japa period when the new mother is put to rest . I religiously drank ajwain water during this period and continued for 2 months. I had ghee but never touched sweets or laddoos ... I used to have simple dal and green vegetable cooked with only ghee, water, salt and pepper. Snacks would consist of fruits, fox nuts, etc..
I continued taking my folic acid and calcium tablets till the time I breast fed which I think gave me lot of strength..

Now coming to most important factor.. I raised my son without any help .. I washed his clothes, massaged him, bathe him, cleaned his bottles etc etc ... I was determine to do it all and obviously it was hectic but I had two advantages of it.. first I have enjoyed every bit of raising him up and secondly I lost weight in that process... I had c section on Friday afternoon and I was released on Monday morning and when I came home I climbed two storey of my building on my own. I was determined to be physically active since the moment I delivered.. I took bath on my own and did all basic work during japa. For a year I did all the work possible .. I travelled with my son 4 times on his 1st year itself . I used to hang him in the carrier bag and go for grocery shopping. Nothing ever stopped me. I wore party clothes, cut my long hair short Bob and just did everything I wanted to.

Now coming to the point ! Doing all this kept my confidence going.. that enthusiasm of looking good or staying in shape is often lost in most mothers because they get so occupied in raising there newborn.. Ladies, please do not loose yourselves in this process. Buy yourself a dress even if you are not in your best shape, get a hair colour or do whatever to keep yourself motivated.. only then you can loose weight because the first step to loose weight is to want to loose weight.

Now coming to my diet. I had rice and dal for dinner for 6 months and ate everything possible. The only thing I left was packet food. Be it chips, cake, biscuits or anything that came packaged. I had noodles occasionally but never had Maggi and many more small changes were followed which I wish to share in a different post all together..

But my only intention of sharing this post is to motivate all the new mothers who might find it to accept their new body ... Please do not change.. loo. Yourself in the mirror, blush and feel good. Put make up on and look gorgeous the way you are.. soon you will find taking care of yourself also.. love to all ❤️❤️
