Keeping the vaginal area clean and dry helps keep off infection from your little one.your baby girls genitals are very delicate so cleaning this area carefully is very important.
Few things to keep in mind:- ** change the diapers as soon as they are soiled and every 4-5 hours if they get wet. ** always wipe their genitals front to back, its an essential hygiene habit to keep away infections. ** check if any stool is collected near her genitals and gently clean that area with wet soft cloth or alcohol-free baby wipes. ** when not using diapers use cotton underpants to avoid perspiration. ** after bath rinse her vaginal area with clean water to remove any soap collected at her bottom. ** shampoo their hair at the end and make her stand while rinsing the shampoo. ** if your baby’s vaginal area looks red or she has pain after she pees it can be caused due to irritation on her skin you can apply diaper rash cream and make sure to keep the area as dry and open as possible. ** if you notice your baby has frequent and painful urination, blood in her urine, unusual smelling urine, fever. All these are signs of urinary tract infection. Show it to her pediatrician for antibiotics and include lots of fluid in her diet
