Hi @Logeshwari, Tummy time would mainly strengthen the neck , shoulder or back muscles and may not be helpful in resolution of umbilical hernia . But nevertheless tummy time has its own benefits of relieving the baby of the gassy tummy and prevents colic . hello..<br> Umbilical hernias usually close on their own before a baby is 1 year old...<br> and tummy time give strength to tummy muscles too... but if baby cooperates then thats fine.. if not then decrease tummy time...

it is good to give some tummy time daily. dont worry about umbilical hernia, it will go away when baby starts to turn over and crawl. it is very common...

my son had umbilical hernia since he was born..I gave him more of tummy time and he doesnt have it anymore..he is 2.5 months old <u>nos</u>
