We often show our concern about the environmental problem and the way it's been affecting our lives. Personally, i think, unless and until we don't take steps to do something for our mother nature, things won't change.
I know it's not gonna happen overnight but whatever time it will take, at Least we have to start somewhere. This year i started getting eco friendly with cloth diapers, mentstual cups, minimizing use of plastic. Continued doing same while celebrating ganeshotsav also. 🤗So this year we had an eco friendly ganeshotsav!! 🤗 i am glad to share( feeling proud also😜)!!! 🙏Eco friendly Ganesh Idol🙏
-It was made up of black mud. Which easily dissolves in water.
-As it was made up of mud only it wasn't that attractive if compared with other idols in market.
- So we colored it with some water color and decorated with some decorative stones, ribins n all those things!!
- We had a mukut made up of cloth only.
-We Haven't used plastic mala, instead i made one with the bids n with flowers on the day of Pooja. 🙏eco friendly mandir🙏
-I loved this part!! As my son helped me through.
- We used new paper for this one. With a paper quilling art, we made a small mandir and decorated it with Jasmine, chrysanthemum, marigold flowers.
- To raise it a bit, we used Amazon boxes 😂. 🙏Eco friendly visarjan 🙏
-We didn't go to any pond or visarjan place for visarjan, as we have planned it at home only.
- We decorated my son's bath tub with flowers n immersed the idol in it. As it was a mud, it didn't take more than 15 minutes to get immersed in water.
- We use this water for the plants in our building after words.
- Whatever mud was remaining beneath the tub, we collected it n kept in a separate pot, planted the seeds in it. We used all the decomposed fower mala to put in the pot. My son helped me in the best way possible.
I will just list out the things what he did🤗 1. Holding the brushes and bottleswhile i colored.
2. Holding the fevicol n applying it as per my instructions with the popsicle sticks.
3. Getting the new papers out of the rack, one by one.
4. More to my surprise he was so helpful, he didn't even forget to close the fevicol bottle after every single use.😂
5. Taking flowers out of the bag one by one.
6. Most important he did not make me run behind him for eating n other stuff😂 so that i could manage all of this in my own.
This celebrations was very special for me as it was my son's first Ganeshotsav with his 100% involvment, as last year he was too small.( Last year was equally special as we had his Annprashan done this day!!!) .
After visarjan when every body asked him about where did your ganapati go... He would drag the person to the tub n shout out loud "Jai bappa, Jai bappa, gela...(went away) "!!!! That was very cute!!😘😘
