question
Good afternoon Mommas!!

My boy is 7 months. I took his weight a month back and today checked again. He has lost 200 gms. It isn't much but ideally his weight should have increased. He has been crawling since a month now and is super active( touchwood). Could that be the reason of losing weight?

I have started with solids thrice. But he has stopped eating veggies, banana and khichdi.

What should I do and is this a cause of worry?

Looking forward to your inputs.

Thank you

Hi
200gms difference is not an issue if his number of feeds are good, with pee count six to seven times a day. The weight may vary even if the weighing machine is different, clothing is stuffy, post meal etc. So beyond a kg is to be given a thought about. Offer what the baby likes, remember the three day thumb rule to introduce foods then follow and plan the foods accordingly. As they start growing they become naughty and weight gain will not be much but it happens after a year. Tc

Dear as kid is active and has started walking..also teething sometimes leads to little weight loss..but it needs to be made up..milk or milk related food helps..also try and add little ghee to his diet..many many good recipes are on the app..
