Good Gut Health is super important for any age group in order to prevent infection, improve digestion, metabolism, and nutrition, support the immune system and boost the overall health.
To have a healthy gut, the idea is to increase the number of good bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract or the gut. To gift your baby a healthy gut here are a few things you need to know.

Breastfeed your baby well and keep your baby exclusively on breastmilk at least for the first 6 months.
Once you introduce solids and other foods to your baby include more of
Fiber-rich foods like beans, lentils, oats, avocado, and whole grains.
Dried fruits, nuts, and seeds.
Probiotic and prebiotic foods like yogurt, cheese, bananas, and apples.
Fermented foods like idli and dosa. 
Avoid foods that are high in unhealthy fats such as fried foods, fatty or starchy foods, processed foods, and frozen foods.
Make sure you schedule smaller meals and avoid meals with large portion sizes.
Keeping your baby hydrated throughout the day is equally important to support the gut flora.
Lastly, exercise your baby or take her/him for a small walk daily to keep her/him active.
