Got a great recipe from internet today. Almonds and dates choco spread Ingredients
Blanched Almonds – ½ cup
Dates – 10 numbers
Cocoa Powder – ½ tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Method:
blanching of almond- Add Water - 1 cup to a non-stick pan and allow it to boil. Once it reaches Boiling-point add 1 cup Almonds and allow the Almonds to soften in boiling water for 2 minutes. Now try to peel one Almond to check if peeling the Almond gets easier and then drain the hot Water and off immediately. Transfer the Almonds now to cold water and allow it to cool for 2 minutes and drain the Water after 2 minutes. Pour the Almonds onto a clean cloth and damp the extra Water. This helps in easier peeling of the Almonds. Once the Almonds are peeled completely shift the Almonds onto another clean dry cloth and try wiping the extra Water
Half cup of Almonds are Blanched and dry roasted on a no-stick pan.
Now transfer them to a mixer once cooled.Add seedless Dates – 10 number to the mixer containing the Blanched and roasted Almonds.
To this add Cocoa powder – ½ tbsp.Now add Oil – 2 tbsp to the mixer and grind it into a paste like the bread spread fine paste.
Healthy tasty Almond and Dates Choco spread is ready to use with plain or toasted Bread, or any bread food like chapathi, roti, dosa and the options are endless.
