He loves to hear the sound by banging his hand on plain surfaces like floor and table tops.

Since he is trying to stand I bought this infant to toddler play gym by fisher price.

1) Baby can lay and play, sit and play as well as be motivated to stand and play.

2) Its worth for rs 2623/- on amazon.

3) It has three hanging toys out of which 2 are removable and can be used as individual toys or even attached at the two leg ends of the giraffe and zebra for extra fun and learning.

4) It has beautiful channel bar to support while holding to stand and for putting balls in it. It helps to develop gross motor skills and also introduces the concept of movement and gravity from a very young age.
5) It comes with 5 colourful balls engraved with cartoons which provide good visual and tactile sensation.

6) A hollow giraffe head and zebra head are there on two sides of the channel bar which serve as passage for the rolling down balls. This helps the baby to learn about hidden object or object permanence.
7) It also has play mat. The play mat has mesh purses on its back which can be folded on with attachments on two sides for keeping the balls. This helps to develop oraganizational skills, gross motor skills and hands eye coordination.
8) It also has 2 lights on the down side pf the bar which dance to the music. There are 2 settings, one for continous 20 minutes music and one for sensor driven sounds which respond to stimulation like pulling the hanging toys or a rolling ball. 3 batteries are required. The battery socket is in the channel bar covered with a plate by screws on the underside of the bar.
I believe that age appropriate toys are necessary for creating fertile and sensitive learning environment for the baby where the baby's brain gets stimulated in the best possible way for a good IQ as well as encouraging them to explore more and more on their own. I found this play gym to be a wholesome package for a 9 months old baby who is sitting unassisted and needs support and motivation to stand. #ageappropriatetoys
