BESAN LADOO- Besan laddo is an Indian traditional sweet which is not only delicious and aromatic but also have a melt in the mouth texture. As a child,I use to always demand my mom to make besan laddoo for me🤭
Since it's a slow process and time consuming i wouldn't wait to lay my hands on the finished dish.
By now you all are aware that I love styling home cooked meals and desserts in my own way.Big shopoholic for crockeries whenever I am travelling 🤭.
Lets have a quick look at Besan Ladoo recipe without Sugar which is super easy to make. Preparation time-40-45min
Serving-10 pieces Ingredients:
1 cup Besan
3 teaspoon Ghee
Jaggery as per your taste
Ground nutmeg (a pinch )
Saffron
Almonds and pistachios
Method:
*Take a pan add ghee and Besan.Keeping the heat low, slow toast the besan flour and stir continuously to avoid burning and breaking the lumps.
*After 9-12minutes the flour will start loosening up and become light and fluffy.Continue roasting for another few minutes until it becomes light golden brown.
Ghee will start separating giving a nice aromatic flavour. *Turn the heat off and take out the flour into a bowl and allow it to cool down.Add saffron,nutmeg,jaggery,almonds/pistachios when it is lukewarm to touch and mix gently.
*To form small balls apply ghee on your palms and start forming small round balls and bind together. *Roll besan laddoo in pistachios/almond powder for a good presentation look.
