question
Hello all. I have a query related to thyroid. Last year in April,my TSH was 5.4,so doc asked me to take thyronorm 25 mg. I concieved in Sep'16. checked the level in Nov'16 and it had dropped to 3.48. In Feb'17 it was 3.78 so my doc increased dosage to 37.5mg. I got the level checked again yesterday and it is 3.8. as per the lab report, the level should be less than 3 during the third trimester. Should I be worried? I have been taking thyronorm everyday since last year. Need advise please.

Hello...
Free T3 (FT3) and free T4 (FT4) levels are slightly lower in the second and third trimesters. Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels are low-normal in the first trimester, with normalization by the second trimester... Women with known hypothyroidism and receiving levothyroxine (LT4) supplementation before pregnancy should plan to increase their dosage by 30% to 60% during the first few weeks of pregnancy...
First trimester: less than 2.5 with a range of 0.1-2.5
Second trimester: 0.2-3.0
Third trimester: 0.3-3.0.
are the values of TSH... continue medicines and take your doctor's advice...
