Good afternoon! My wife had delivery through C-Section in 20 October 2018.
Please advice in detail about how much time I have to take care for her and my baby too.

Foods that can be included are melons, oranges, papayas, strawberries, grapefruits, tomatoes, sweet potatoes etc.
Fluid intake
It is one of the most important things, especially when you are nursing your little one, as breastfeeding can make you thirsty and dehydrated often.

Post c section delivery diet
After any surgery a person becomes weak and vulnerable. Hence, a well balanced nutritious diet is very much required to cope with the requirements of the body in this crucial period.
Why should we take nutritious diet?
Nutrition speeds up your recovery process, rejuvenates tissue building and gives you the required energy to improve your immunity and mobility. Moreover, a new mom's biggest challenge is to breast feed the new born, as well as take care of her health personally. Since the initial phase will be much more demanding than expected, a complete nutritious diet is required.
What should be the basis of the diet?
The diet should be focused on to support the healing process.
The diet should consist of high fibre,high protein, moderate fat, rich in carbohydrate along with iron, calcium and multivitamins which gives optimal nutrition since it should aid in the process of recovery as well as breastfeeding.
It should aid in easy bowel movement without causing any strain on the abdomen.
Depending on the patient's progress, the doctor may recommend a clear liquid diet initially for few days and then instruct them to opt for real foods.; It is advisable to eat a light diet for the first few days, that are easily digestible like porridge, soups, steamed foods etc. So that it doesn't cause any strain on the intestines since a surgery has been performed.
Below are few foods that can be included in diet post c section.
Whole grains.
This is a better option because whole grains are rich in carbohydrates and fibre content. They are very much required as it helps in maintaining the energy levels and the breast milk production. The foods that can be included are oatmeal, brown rice, barley and quinoa.
Protein rich food.
They are most important for a person who underwent a surgery as they help in building new tissues in the body and maintain muscle power after surgery. <br>
You can eat fish, eggs, chicken,lean meats, dairy foods, peas, dried beans, dhal and nuts.
Iron
Iron is an essential component in building up the immune system also it is required to cope with the loss of blood during delivery. However, limit your iron intake as excess iron can cause constipation. Few items in the list are walnuts, red meat, dry fruits, beef liver and dried beans.
High fibre foods.
The common issue post c section is constipation. Hence, to have a smooth bowel movement, high fibre foods are recommended.
