Hello Every one I have 2 months old baby....I had C - section I need advise or suggestion on breast feeding....I have breast milk but very less in quantity...I am feeding formula milk to by daughter alternatively ....I am very unhappy with that....Please help me any tips to increase my breast milk i really don't want to use formula milk....Also i don't see her gaining weight she is still thin.....please advise
Hi Preethi glad that you wanted to exclusively breastfeed your daughter and it's very very important. The first step towards exclusively breastfeeding is stopping the bottle. Breast milk works on demand and supply, your body will produce milk only according to your baby's need. How will the body know your baby's need? Only when the baby sucks. If your baby is sucking 3 times only then the body will also produce milk for 3 times only. When the baby sucks 10 times automatically your body will start producing to that need. Apart from this sucking milk from bottle is easy compared to sucking from breast so obviously the baby will prefer bottle and one fine day stop breastfeeding completely. So the first step is reducing bottle and formula and offer breast. Cut one feed at a time.
