question
Hello everyone

I have started giving cooked 1tsp rice& Moong dal, in vegetables- palak, dudhi with Moong dal pani, 1 small piece of roti with pani.

All these I grind it in mixer as it becomes semi solid. My daughter eats all these food. Giving her 3-4 times a day along with BM & FM as per need. Haven't yet tried potato n any fruit.

What else can I start giving her in weaning food?

I started with rice water, elaichi banana, waited for 1 week every time I introduced new food to the baby. then dal water , then rice and dal together. in fruits - apple, chickoo, mango, pear and slowly introduced more. avoid eggs, honey any shell fish till the baby is of 1 year age. even peanuts. any food you think can cause allergies. you can also introduce soups like tomato, beet ,carrot mixed or any veggie soup

My doctor initially suggested rice cerelac, as my baby didn't eat, then doctor suggested all home made food. Honey till now I have not given to her. ( and she don't like the smell of it.) For my friend their paediatric expert ( from cloud 9) started food with wheat.
I feel it depends on the doctor who have examined baby personally and can suggest the right thing. And also, depends on parents food habits also. Here we can say our personal suggestions and give an idea that...these things also can be given. The ultimate thing, parents should follow the instructions of their doctor.

@629847e308f7c30014119c82 I think dry fruits, milk and honey should be avoided till one year....confirmed from my baby's dietician and pediatric.....weaning should be started with fruits to let the intestine get used to digestion for a week probably boiled and pureed apple or pear and freshly pureed chicco, banana, avocado or papaya and later daal, rice, rava kheer or khichdi can be given....after 2-3 weeks steamed and pureed vegetables like carrot, peas, beans, pumpkin can be given and from 7 months mix of foods like vegetable khichdi with above veggies, apple puree and rice flacks porridge and homemade cereals.....palak, paneer and many other vegetables should be introduced after 8-9 months... @59b27dacaa5793647357be18 please correct if I'm wrong as I have been following plans since pregnancy as per experts and would love to keep learning

Start with fruits as wel... Banana, water melon, now can give little mango puree ( it's season now), apple, chickoo, papaya. Also soak dry fruits in water.. and later remove it's skin mash it well to a paste and feed.
