Hello friends, my lo is 10 days shy of 5 months, he is on ebf only, past two days he is licking his fingers and trying to insert it fully into his mouth. I'm not stick to timings, based on hunger cues I'm feeding him. kindly tell me what could be this behaviour mean? is my milk not sufficient to satisfy his hunger? I'm worried should I go for top feed which I don't want to happen rite now. Kindly Tel me the reason experienced mommies and experts. TIA

hi dear babies suck there fingers becz that fascinates them,they try to explore every thing around them starting from hand, it's a sign of development. secondly baby may also have gum irritation do they do it. if your baby pees 7 -8 times a day and is active your milk is sufficient nothing to worry , don't misunderstand baby putting his fingers in mouth with hunger :} relax
