question
Hello guys everyday d same question comes in to my mind...is my baby getting enough milk through breastfeeding or not?...My baby is 4 months old, he always take feed for only 10 mints or sometimes for 15 mints not more than that...even though he demands every 1.5 or 2 hrs...but as i saw in baby feeding bottles there is marked 120ml milk per feed for 4 months baby....so i m in doubt is he getting proper milk through breastfeeding ...he doesn't show any interest after 10 mints while feeding....Plz suggest me... @Dr Shilpitha Singh

Hi neha....First of all, u need to wipe off all the "am i producing enough milk" doubt from ur mind... the more u feed, more u will make milk....if ur baby is gaining weight steadily then it is a very good sign that he is getting enough milk...and a baby getting enough breastmilk will pass urine at least 6-8 times during the day.... if ur baby is looking active and happy after breastfeeding, then chances are he got his tummy full... after nursing, ur breasts should feel light and soft indicating that baby has emptied the milk....

If his pee count is 7-8 times a day and his weight is normal..then don't worry ur baby is getting sufficient milk.
