Hi, this is my experience that I m sharing... Spoon feeding should be stopped now as this will lead to several issues like the kid won't get to feel the texture and consistency of food. He will hate touching the food as it will make his hands dirty, in short it may cause sensory issues. Plus, there may be some chewing issues too. You can definitely start BLW but it won't happen at once. You will have to keep lots of patience. . There will be fussiness, there will be rejection but consistency is the key. Firstly, start feeding with your hands. After that make meal time your family time. Offer lots of finger foods. Suppose you are eating roti and dal, make the kiddo sit with you, take roti dip it in dal and say dip and eat. This way it will be fun and he will start imitating slowly. Give rice balls while you eat rice. Also, in BLW the kid will not eat the same portion that you are feeling with spoon so don't het dishearten. All the very best momma.

Fussy eating is simply a phase that most toddlers go through, usually in their second year. Fear of eating new foods is called food neophobia, which humans developed as they evolved. It's an instinctive defence against eating potentially unsafe or dangerous foods.

Offer a good balance of foods. ...

Serve food in small portions. ...

Toddlers need to be having family foods and joining in the family mealtime.

Don't assume they will dislike a food. ...

New foods can be rejected the first few times you offer them. ...

Do not prepare a “special” separate meal for your toddler.
