Hello ladies and experts. I am currently 27 weeks 4 days and had ny scan today. My EDD is April 14th but in the report it has come to 7th April. Please find the report and tell me if its normal and what does cord around neck indicate. Does it mean i cant have normal delivery. Please help me understand the report. Thank you.
it is normal to have a difference of fifteen days plus or minus between the EDD and the sonogram dates. Cord around the neck would depend on whether it is loose single loop or multiple loops. In most cases a trial of labor is done and if baby is comfortable then birth can happen vaginally.

there is usually a small difference in the babies age as per menstrual period and growth on sonography. it's completely normal. The gestational age and EDD measured on usg always has a variation of a week or two plus and minus. it also shows a loop of umbilical cord around neck. don't worry, there is still time and the loop may unwind itself with baby movements. a normal delivery is possible with a single loop though.
