Hello ladies, I am 10 weeks pregnant and i been told that i should not cross my legs and sit or sleep..The umbilical cord gets entangled around the baby:s neck... Is it true?since i have this habit of sleeping crossed leg.

Not true at all. Complete myth. The baby is attached to the umbilical cord at the navel at one end and the placenta at the other end. Babys own movements will cause the baby to get tangled and untangled in the cord. No position or posture of the mother will cause this.

Sleep as you feel comfortable. Only during later pregnancy, sleep on your left side, as this gets most blood flow and oxygen to baby via umbilical cord.
