Hello ma’am, I’m in 36 week n diagnosed with partial placenta previa. Which has caused spotting. I want to know if there are any precautions I need to be taking? As the doctor has told he will be doing c—section, but not now. Once baby is full term

Thank you Dr. Shital & @5fedec01cccb6d0014097596 for your reply. At the moment I’m taking full bedrest. So far no bleeding again, but incase there is our gynee said go to hospital straight. Otherwise I’ll be visiting her on Saturday. Wellnoted on the possibilities, n really hoping everything goes smooth n I can at least complete 37 weeks 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hello Anupama, for Placenta Previa, rest and uterine relaxants are mandatory.
If uterine irritation along with spotting, your Gynecologist may consider hospitalization and injectable uterine relaxants also.
Consult your Gynecologist.
Gynecologist will review Gestational age, Lung Maturity and any retroplacental bleeding or hematoma. And accordingly, manage your condition.please prepare for
Crossmatched blood ready,
As rarely,Blood transfusion may be required,if low lying placenta bleeds heavily.
Wishing you the best!

Thank for your reply Dr. Puneeti, really appreciate 🙏🏻. I completely understand that I’ll have to go for cessation, preparing myself mentally for the same. I’m taking as much rest as possible, only getting up for shower n washroom.
I’ll ask my gynaecologist for the injection, on Monday 17 we have appointment with her.
Thank you once again for your support
