it depends. if everything is going fine then once in a trimester would also suffice else once in each month is better.

the NT scan is very important. Pls ask ur doc about it and get it done before you finish 13 week6days

scan is done on 8 to 10 weeks to check heartbeat then on 12 to 14 weeks known as NT scan later at 17 to 24 weeks known as anomaly scan later in third trimester which would be the last scan
