question
Hello mommies... My baby has been only on BF since begining and I never gave formula becoz my milk was sufficient for her. But now I am trying to give her formula but she is rejecting right away. She only wants my milk but now that she is already 9 months old how can milk be enough for her. Also she is not taking the bottle. I have tried nan pro and lactogen but she is not liking the taste neither taking bottle. What should I do? Which formula tastes close to breast milk and how to get her used to bottle. Plz help!

Hi if you are really concerned about the baby not accepting fm or bottle, then do not worry about this at all as there are alternatives. You continue to breastfeed and As she is 9 months feed her meals that can include fm ( so that you are satisfied, otherwise bm is sufficient along with 3 semi solid meals) - you can make sooji kheer, milk daliya, mashed bread- milk etc . My son never accepted bottle and hated formula milk. I had no option rather than feeding him desired amount of fm thru such meals. I was as concerned as you. Then one year onwards I switched to cows milk and now he drinks with glass only

Give semi solid and solid foods.. mashed fruits.. puréed form of veggie.. fruit yogurts.. if you kid is not taking milk give milk products like curd or yogurts paneer.. vegetables Upma.. bf kids lot of time don’t take bottle oor formula milk later.. my son never took bottle or formula or even he never had proper cerelac so I fed him other stuff..

There is absolutely no need of formula if u are lavtating enuf.. agree with asha di that she might be teething hence clingy. Try sippers for soups n juices.Wsit for another 2 months n then u can start cow milk. My doc said similac is closest ti breast milk
