Hello mommies!!!

Today i read one question on menstrual cups so i wanted to share my experience on that.😊

So right now i have two cups, one is Wow freedom premium menstrual cup n another one is silky cup.

1. Fit

Its very important to get the FIT right.

Those who have given a birth OR of age 30 and above,  large size is for you.By large it means the circumference of the would. e large so that it will get fit inside the vaginal opening which got streched due to age OR child birth and also it will collect more blood as large cup will collect 30 ml of menstrual blood.

For unmarried or have not given birth and also who are lean, can use medium one.

2. Material

I was worried about the material because using menstrual cup means putting a foreign body inside the body. If its not good then the things can get worst. BUT the cups are usually made up of 2 materials 1. silicon 2. latex.

Its very rare to have an allergy to latex but still as a first time user i played safe. I bought the

silicon one. Its a medical grade silicon ( like the baby bottles which are of food grade silicon ) So its very SAFE.

3.Comfort

I can vouch for this. Its wayyyyyy tooooo mmmmmuch comfortable as compared to the tempons and sanitary napkins.

Its completely inside your body so no wetness, no rashes, no changing pads every 2 hour. You wont even realize that you are on  periods(Second best feeling in the world😋).

4. Hygiene

As you have to INSERT it inside your body you just have to sterilize it once before every cycle. So there is no chance of getting infection due to wetness n keeping the pad for longer time. just wash your hands properly, sterilize the cup n you are good to go.👍 sometimes i completely forgot that i am having it inside, on my 3 rd day.

5. Capacity of the cup

As i said large cup will collect 30 ml of fluid. those who have heavy flow should empty it after 6-7 hours (according to my experience because i am one of those🙄🙄 ).

6. Common doubts

Initially i had a fear of it not coming out.

What if it got stuck?

What if it ddnt come out?

What if it got teared inside?😂 ( this is the silly one).

Answer for this is .. It will happen ony in your head!!!😇 NOTHING will happen!!! IT will come out when you push and pull it.

According to your activity ithw stem of the cup will come inside and go outside BUT it wont get lost inside.(For eg, for me.. when i stood up i could feel the stem outside n when i sat down it completely got inside.)

7 Eco friendly

Finally!!! I dont have to contribute to the landfill with the sanitary napkins!!!😍😍  You dont throw it..you REUSE it...

8. Cost

Its feasible to spend upto 100 for a cup which you are going to use for minimum 2 3 years.

wow freedom cup, which i am using is for 550 n silky one is 800. you can choose according to your requirements.

9. USE

As i said earlier, You have to sterilize it before using it. You will get many videos on youtube about how to use it. It will take at least one cycle to get used to it. (If any one interested, i can explain the procedure, i made some mistakes initially but eventually i figured it out!!😊😊)
Thats all i know about it!!

You can ask if you want to know more otherwise MR.GOOGLE is there to help you!!!
HAPPY PMS'ing!!!!!!😋😋😂😂
