I think you can still wait before you consult a doctor. Every child is different. If he even tries to speak then there is no reason to worry about. There are children who don't speak properly up until they are 3+

At the age of 3 children should be able to frame sentences,yes every child differs and i think you should consult a doctor!

Hello Jazz , it's normal. Some kids are late to speak. Your prince is&#160; three years old. Is he pointing out his needful things??? If yes,&#160; then stop worrying. It's good sign that he is pointing all the things and moreover he is a good listener too.&#160; He is able to follow your instructions.&#160; So, don't worry at all. U can concentrate on his diet. Feed ur baby after every two to three hours. Also start giving ostocalcium syrup two times in a day. Speak up...... <br> U always try to communicate and motivate him to speak. Give him simple instructions and ask him to follow. Repeat again and again. Have a lot of fun time with ur baby .&#160;Go and enjoy with your little one in a park. He enjoys there and happy with the company of other babies too. And this encourages him to speak.<br> Everything is normal,generally boys are late spokers. Believe me, talk with Him as you can. After few months, he will be able to speak.. Invite&#160; colony babys in the evening,&#160;and ask your baby to have a great time with them. More he indulge with age mates, soon he start speaking.
