Baby shud double it'sbirth weight at 6m & triple at one year. Your baby is doing fine. As per WHO , baby shud start solids only at 6m. Fruit juices as well as kanji will just fill his tummy up & be nutritionally less than breastmilk.; My baby was 2.84 kg at birth & is 6.2kg at 6 months now. It's ok..some babies r very active too.

Baby weight over all is fine. However giving watered down foods such as juice and kanji would not be the ideal choice. I would recommend moving from breast milk to pureed foods at around six months when the baby can be propped up. It is also possible that baby has gained good height and that can compensate for slower weight gain.

hi archana, ideally one should wait for baby to complete 6 months before starting semi solids. pls check out @weekly meal plans created by a nutritionist for babies of 6+ months to the toddler stage. these are very helpful. in the meantime you can read all articles on @weaning foods so you get an idea. if baby is happy & healthy and active, pls don't worry about weight so much. pls bf as much as you can
