hello! Need urgent advice.. my sister has got rubella in her torch test and she suffered a miscarriage. I live in the same house with my 3 month old baby. how can I protect my baby from contracting rubella from my sister. she is still unimmunized with MMR. please help and suggest what precautions should I take so that my baby is safe.

Rubella is caused by german measles.. so, I would suggest that just keep your baby away from your sister as measles gets transfered from one to other. and when the baby is 6 months old talk to your doc.. in emergency may b in 6 months she gets a MMR vaccine. maintain proper hygiene... and it will be better if you talk to your pediatrician once. doc will b able to suggest you better.
