Hello parents and parents to be! Today i asked myself a question which u guys would have asked or would ask at some point in life. Why do you want to bring a life into this world full of people? The answer is Simple! Because you want your own bundle of joy.

But do we remind ourselves this at every sphere of life when the child is growing? We dream about his/her future before hand and try to stick to it no matter what the child is supposed to become when he grows up. Infact, these dreams of making him/her an astronaut, a doctor, an IAS or IPS officer are socially, morally and ethically relevant and all you want to do is make sure the child lives a successful life.

; But what if these are not the dreams of your child? Why impose your dreams and expectations on him/her, when all you wanted was a child for your ultimate happiness. Why does that child needs to prove it upto your expectations and become a puppet of your dreams. I know this write up may sound impractical to whole lot of you. But all i want to say it try to help your child pursue his/her dreams and find happiness in that. Your bundle of joy wont cease to fill your life with happiness and love. Just promise yourself that u would be there for him, support him and encourage him to go for a life he choses. That you gave him a life not for fulfilling your own dreams and whims. Promise that You will always be a parent and a friend he could come to, should he fail in his attempt to become what he wants.
