question
Hey anyone using pigeon electric breast pump. I have started using recently only. Do we need to keep the lever pushed with our fingers continuously for expressing ? Actually my pump is expressing only if I keep pushing and releasing the lever more like a manual pump. Not understanding whether m operating wrongly or the pump is faulty ?kindly give ur inputs

Check your usage and go in for an electric one. If you at all decide to get an electric one, go in for Avent from Philips.

Hey meetha thanks for such a helpful post I think it's the semi automatic one as u described its prices around 5k its written its portable electric breast pump ya it's easier than the manual one where u have to exert so much pressure with hands. I pump 3-4 times everyday so according to you which one will be better should I go for the fully automatic one as on the one u mentioned does it have any cons ?

Do you have an ID where I can EMAIL the document? sweta bajaj the manual has all details. Also, check the model number and tell me too if you need more help.

Hi... I also used the pigeon breast pump... If you're talking about the one that is priced around 4000₹ then it is the semi automatic one... As in you have to keep pumping the lever... It's much easier than the manual one, but harder than electric ones... Manual- you yourself have to actually work the pump Semi-automatic- there is a motor and you can alter the power of the suction, however you have to work a a small lever- it take less effort and is smooth... There is a technique for this... Initially pump short and frequent presses.. followed by long slow presses... Initially (when you pump faster) it is stimulation phase... Followed by milk let down so you can pump slowly...imitates a baby's sucking..

Automatic/electrical- obviously you just have to attach the cup to your areola and nipple in the correct position and let the pump do its work! Semi automatic is a good option if you're not looking to pump everyday and frequently. It's convenient and easy to learn.. you'll get the hang of it soon... Let me know if you need more help!! Happy to help!
