There are a lot of games you can play. Do read to your child everyday. Select books with larger pictures and color. Babies ar this age are keen on music and sound. You can also get a play gym at watch your baby explore sounds on his own. Whenever you shop for your child now and in future, consider what your child is doing in terms of physical development. Has baby started grabbing finger, crawling etc. All the best!

Great question! Firstly leave the baby on tummy on the floor (over a cloth or a soft mattress)- that's good for both physical and mental growth. Create a good collection of instrumental classical music and play it 24*7. I can't say enough about the role of music in building intelligence! Thirdly subscribe to a children's library and set some time out for reading every single day. (you will see an article on activities and months for 6 months +) there are many types of Toddler and baby books. Show him pictures and talk about them and don't worry about his understanding right now. Simply set a routine. Last of all, take him to the park everyday and show things around. It will trigger his naturalistic intelligence too. At the ISP parenting class,I also learnt that flash cards can be done from the last term of pregnancy. But there's a way to do it which they explain in detail. If you pm me on chat, I can give you details.

Or try a boat trick where the spoon is coming straight to the baby in his filed of vision. or you can try a bird version where the bird is flying in a fun bobbing up and down way and lands in his mouth. be careful don't spill. But even if it gets messy, what's the harm! Make a lot of sounds while you play and laugh a lot. Have fun!

Though you probably know about the "airplane coming in for a landing" trick, there are endless variations. A good variation is "rocket, landing on the moon": Hold the spoon down below the table or high-chair tray, then bring it up quickly but carefully (as close to vertical as you can without spilling the contents) and gently place it in your baby's mouth just as you say "moon."
