Hey guys... Im a dentist. I wanted to share with you guys that oral health is very important during pregnancy. Poor oral health is even related to premature labor. I urge all those who are in their 2nd trimester to visit the dentist even if you may not be in pain. Because 2nd trimester is the safest period to get dental treatment done. If you have minor dental caries(cavity) , you wont feel pain until it has progressed to a point where only root canal can help. So get those cavities filled in 2nd trimester so that you will have no problem in 3rd trimester. In 3rd trimester its difficult to sit for long dental procedures and after the baby is born you may not get time to visit a dentist.
