He will learn speaking gradually. Your 16-month-old must be able to say minimum seven words — clearly. But he will still rely mostly on nonverbal communication, pointing and gesturing to tell you what he wants or what he wants you to see. Your toddler understands much more than he can speak. Speak more to him, he’ll learn. And most importantly don’t compare your kid with others. Happy parenting!

He will speak more in future nothing to worry about. It takes time for the children to speak the way we speak. Show him everything lying at home tell him their names gradually he will start asking you for those things by taking their names initially he will point out the things he wants and later he will start taking its names. Keep practising and enjoy telling him the names of the things he uses daily be it glass plate bottle spoon bowl .
