Hi Nimisha, at this age swimming will be all about having a good time with mommy. The best age for a kid to take instructions in a pool like holding their breath or blowing bubbles or even jumping into the pool would be 3.5yrs above. But you can take your kiddo to the baby pool and let him get accoustmed to the water!!! In bangalore they do have an infant swimming classes where the instructors are certified to teach infants.  And one parent have get into the pool with their kiddo!! You can search for something like that!!

I guess you should seek your doctor's approval before deciding. By 1 to 2 years of age kids develop better immunity. They also gain physical strength that is required in swimming. So better to wait till the child turns a year old atleast.

I myself was a player and won national awards in swimming but I will definitely suggest u to wait till 1-2 years it's so soon to get into a pool once or twice is fine but not regularly in every pool they use chlorine to clean the pool that is very harmful for adults also he is a small baby
