Hey mommies here I am sharing a super healthy nd delicious recipe..."Moong dal chilla.".. Which is a great source of Protein..nd nutrition... It is a great recipe for kids lunchbox... 😊😊
1 cup split moong lentils without skin (yellow Moong Dal)
1 pinch of hing
½ tsp (teaspoon) salt or as per taste
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp cumin powder
1½ cup water or as needed
Vegetable oil for making cheelas
chopped vegetable like tomato, onion, bell pepper, grated ginger...etc Method:
1step:In a large bowl add moong dal and wash. Soak it for 3-4 hours.
2 step:Once dal is soaked, drain all the water out and wash few times. Drain again.
3step:In a blender, add the dal and ½ cup of water and grind it into a smooth batter 4step:Transfer the batter in a bowl. Add hing, red chili powder, cumin powder, salt and another ½ cup of water to the batter and mix well.
5step:The consistency of the batter should be thin like pancake batter. You may add little more water, if it is thick. 6step:add finely chopped vegetable 7step:take a pan..grease some oil and spread batter on pan....allow cook both sides....if u need u can apply lil oil on chilla.
nd don't forget turn on the gas😉😉 8step:Serve hot with tomato sauce and green chutney or u can serve with curd...
For my lil I always serve with curd....😊😊
