Hey Mommies!
In my second post I am going to share some information about a problem which I faced during pregnancy.
There are many things which are common, e.i, morning sickness, mood swings, food cravings, nousea, heartburns etc. One of the uncommon problem is *pregnancy puppps*.
Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy;(PUPPP), known in United Kingdom as polymorphic eruption of pregnancy;(PEP), is a chronic hives-like rash that strikes some women during pregnancy. It presents no long-term risk for either the mother or unborn child despite frequently severe pruritus.PUPPP frequently begins on the abdomen and spreads to the legs, feet, arms, chest, and neck.
Skin distension (stretching) is thought to be a possible trigger for PUPPP as it most commonly affects primigravida (women in their first pregnancy), women with large fundal measurements and/or those who are carrying large babies or multiples. And was true in my case. I am tall and so is my baby. Her head and torso was big at the time of scan. The papules and plaques often first appear within stretch marks. PUPPP occurs in about 1 in every 200 pregnancies, and I was one of them. #MommyTakeOver #MeetSrishti

@637371add28b060015d99780 that's why they are called pregnancy hell... Thankfully my 9 months of pregnancy went off well. No nausea no vomits n minimal morning sickness.. only when the 10th month started, these PUPPPS happened.

Oh god. The thought itself seems very scary. Stretch mark itching is already a cause of irritation in pregnancy let alone this additional stuff. How did you manage it.?
