@616d9df9202a1a0013095643 Ok just don't worry about this. This is not something you should worry too much in to. He is only a year old. ☺️ Ok what you can try is wait for him to be hungry and leave him alone with his favourite food on a plate. See how he does. Observe him from a distance. And while this is on, put a show on TV which he likes. The other thing could be that you both have the same plates and the same amount of food in them and than show him how you eat out of it. Keep pointing him to his plate. Hopefully this works for him. Many wishes.

He doesn't take any food in his hand and eat by himself.. I have tried giving him soft biscuit or banana.. he just disagrees to hold it in his hand..

It's not mandatory that he should chew. He may not be chewing for a set of reasons such as beginner reluctance, mild toothache, discomfort in jaw or gums etc. Chewing is actually effort for kids. Our daughter just literally sucks in the noodles by making a pout. She will swallow a couple and than chew a few. So they can just be moody. I don't think it's a big deal but what you can do is to give him something which is very soft like a milk soaked slice of bread and see how he goes with it. But I think you should give him mashed stuff or liquids and than experiment fr time to time with small bites. Hope it goes well for you both.
