hey mom's. .. my baby girl is only 10 days old.. I have gone through a surgery not normal delivery. since I m giving breastfeeding to my baby. but for last 3-4 days I m suffering from fever ranges from 100-102 degree f. my fever is not in continuation. . I have consulted my Dr, she suggested me for malaria n typhoid test.. now I m afraid that if reports will b positive. then what will the effect on my baby. since she is fully depended on my breastfeeding. .. plz suggest

First and foremost wait for the results. These viruses do not transmit thru breast milk so that will also not be a concern. Medication prescribed will have to be suitable to breast feeding if you test positive. Make sure your doctor knows that you are a breast feeding mom.<br> Also check for the following<br> 1. Do you have any lumps in the breast which could be infected ?<br> 2. Since you have had a surgery you may have some post surgical infection which is causing the fever.
