Hi dear! I did ALL MY SHOPPING  before coz it just made much more sense. Some ppl do have this faith but its not true and it depends on individual. There are infinite customs and beliefs but i would suggest be rational and confident in your upbringing.

I too did shopping for my lo as I was alone so I prepared everything before hand and Alhumdulillah now I'm a mother of two beautiful healthy angels☺.As soon as your 9 months will start keep your maternity bag ready.
