question
Hi all,

Baby is going backwards during tummy time instead of moving forward. He is not rolling yet, I put him always on tummy time whenever he is awake. Is this common?

it's normal dear.Give your baby plenty of opportunities to kick his legs when he's on his back or stomach (a baby gym often encourages this motion). When your baby is playing on his stomach, sit beside his and talk -- it will encourage him to lift his head and reach for you. Or hold some toys just out of reach so he'll shift his weight and pivot to get to them. When your baby does roll over, applaud her -- he'll be eager to try it again.

it's pretty normal for the baby to move backward. as it is easier than moving forward.

It is alright if the baby hasn't yet started moving forward. Be patient and keep trying. Every baby has a different growth curve. Be watchful. My baby too took his own sweet time. Place his favourite toys or objects in front of him.. use musicals to attract him.. show him how its done..

kamalini, you continue with exercises, baby will when get 100 percent head control ,rollover activity will come in place,if your baby is turning side then gradually he will pick up, continue exercises, show him his favorite toys while in tummy time, try to hang a toy in front of him and let him see upwards..and similar exercises doctor must have told u. .Dont worry ,he will rollover properly in a month time. I am telling this u based on my experience ,my baby sbkwn lot of improvement after exercises...so dont lkad.s one babys have there own time to achieve milestones
