question
Hi All, I have finished my 22 weeks of pregnancy  and I am experiencing some pressure/pain near the vaginal area... it seems like some sort of that is coming internally... This is happening since the past couple of days.. Is it normal or should I get it checked... Please let me know...

Dr. Shilpitha

Hello...<br> During the second half of the pregnancy, some expecting mothers start feeling pain in their vaginal area, which is perfectly normal. There are many changes taking place in the vagina during pregnancy that can cause discomfort. There is more blood flow to vaginal area, which may make it feel swollen and uncomfortable. Pain in the vagina may also result from other pregnancy symptoms including pressure on your cervix, round ligament pain, and varicose veins - which can occur inside the vagina and quite painful.. take adequate rest and have plenty fluids... if it is excruciating and non bearable then please consult doctor
