hi all , I would like to know my baby is 6 months 19 days , I have started all three meals for him gradually and day time automatically feeding breast milk less but night time he gets up 4 times for feed . that is why he passes urine too many times . . he gets up every 2 n half hours for feed I get v tired when will he sleep the whole night. n once in the night I give him formula . as my mother in law says it ll help him to sleep longer but he gets up exactly after 2 n half hour with that as well . what should I do
oh is it doctor Sonali I ll do tht today itself . then how do I feed his food to him

A baby at six months has a strong suckling reflex and hence if not getting enough of the breast during the day will awaken often at night to feed. Feed him breast milk direct from the breast often during the day as he is clearly not yet ready to let go of breast feeding.

this used to happen with my son.. I started giving him the last meal of the day at 9pm and putting him to sleep at 10:30.. he would then wake up only twice for a feed.. he is probably passing too much urine because he's feeling cold.. try adjusting the room temperature and adjusting his last meal time. make it a heavier meal
