Hey khushboo.. there is a test to check hearing ask your doctor abt this and babies eye sight will get clearer; from the second month and before completing 3rd month baby will start recognizing you n your family members

Yes khushboo, hearing and guthrie tests were part of the package hospital offered us.. so we did get these tests done.. Don't know about eye screening

I'm not aware <u>of</u> the tests khushboo.However,don't worry much.Even though they hear and see,they might not respond immediately.Encourage her by clapping hands,playing with rattles,hanging toys in play gym,mobile toys,read out books to her with big colourful pictures.She will enjoy them.Soon she will start responding.

It's a routine to get this checks done before discharge. Vision is limited and blur initially but for u to know if they are responding to voices and things will take time. No need to panic. U can see the discharge summary report or in ur next pead visit request the doctor to check and assure you.

Baby can hear n see from very start but their vision is limited to 12" and they can respond to sounds also but sometimes they are moody n will not respond but generally they will respond to your high pitch <u>sound</u>
