Hi Neeti, yes babies want mothers touch and want to latch even when not hungry just to comfort themselves. It’s the best way for them to get relief. Initially yes they can ask for n number of times , every hour. But don’t worry if you are making enough milk it would be filling her tummy. Latching is ok of you can see he is able to suck properly. I would advise to go for exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months Coz formula feed will lower your supply and eventually diminish

Thanks for sharing your story. Yesterday I fed her several times in 7 hrs. At times I feel she jus needs my nipples so that she could touch n feel me. I check the flow of milk in between...n I always got positive response. How to check latching problem, please guide? N I gv her formula feed twice a day, she gets satisfied n slp. This makes me all the more sad. Plus I tried side lying position but cz of cesarean it <u>hurts</u>

Hi Neeti, hugs to you. Keep calm and continue to breastfeed :) Let me begin with my sad-to-happy story. Within a month after delivery I was almost on the verge of giving up on breastfeeding due to the pain, latching issues, back ache, tiredness etc. but I didn&rsquo;t and my son is about to be 2 and he has just been weaned off (fed him for 2 years without any hassle and it really helped in building immunity) so pls don&rsquo;t give up. Pain , back ache etc everything will subside in a month or so. Try the side lying position to feed in between to take some rest. I always did that mostly. Also you can pump and feed at times ( if required, I never did) . Breastfeeding has its own pros - builds immunity in kid, establishes great bonding between you and your child and slowly you will start loving it. To avoid bleeding, you can use a nipple shield and a nipple butter cream and the best your own bm. Coming to your next worry of baby being unsatisfied, that might not be the case always if you are making enough milk and he&rsquo;s latching properly. There may be other issues of his unrest. Before sitting for feed take support of pillows keep yourself comfortable then start feeding your baby then your back will also get relaxed <u>dear</u>

Hey dear don't be panic you can use nipple shield if your nipples are bleeding n some creams also available in market use Himalaya nipple care cream after every feed apply on your nipples and before feeding wash it n feed your baby if your baby is not satisfied then you can introduce formula milk to her ask once with your baby's pediatrician which formula milk is good n to increase breast milk start drinking shatavari mixed with milk it will help you to increase breast milk... Don't get panic dear in the beginning every new mom face these issues
