question
Hi all moms,

I will be traveling with my 7 month old baby from Bangalore (which experiences mild winters in comparison to the north) to Kanpur (where the temperature is going to fall to 10* C in the nights) for 3 nights and 4 days.

My query is that this is the first time my baby will be exposed to such a condition and I'm not really sure if I've to carry thermal wear for the baby. He's usually a warm baby. In Bangalore we layered him with 2 sets of cotton clothes and we were fine... Sweater, cap and socks if it got too chilly.

Please let me know how to deal with the cold up North.

Definitely would help a South Indian mum who is used to earn weathers only.

Thanks in advance

Hi dear..the major part of severe winter in the North continues till makar sankranti and gradually starts decreasing by now... <br> But still there will be a temperature difference as compared to Bangalore...In Kanpur / north during the day ira mostly sunny so warm jacket will be fiNe but at night you need to give extra protection as the temperature dips...its better to use a room heater there and cover the head if you are going out in the evening...mustard oil massage helps in keeping the body warm..the baby will be fine don't worry..just remember to cover the head and feet with socks...Tc
