Hi all, My daughter is 5 months old and around 15 days back I have started adding fruits to her diet basis her paediatricians recommendation.. So far she has been introduced to custard apple , banana and chikoo.. Today I gave her papaya..; I've given all this with formula milk... I also gave her dal ka pani today.. However, since the time I have started her fruit.. she has developed a problem of reflux.. She removes curdled milk even after burping... Once or twice she has also thrown up fully...All this wasn't there earlier..; So, I just wanted to understand if this is normal or are the fruits becoming to heavy for her... I give them to her twice a day..Also, any tips to follow during the initial stages of weaning.. Look forward to your suggestions.

Feed baby in an upright position. Give small portion and do not force feed. You can also give her only fruit and not mix it with formula as that can become heavy. Dal should not be strained. Cool well and then blend. Idea being that we want the child to get the whole pulse and not just the water. I have done multiple articles on weaning in the app which you can look up for tips as you move ahead. Also follow your pediatrician or a nutrition counselor and not just random advice as you introduce foods.

Raw is causing issues. Book them,; peel off and mash them. Then feed.
