Hi all.i have to pierce my son's ears.he is 7 months old. Plz suggest in what way shud v pierce his ears; gunshot or traditional method?
Plz suggest safe n least painful type and after that what ointment or medicine or home remedies shud b used to to avoid any pain, infection or wound??? I went with the traditional way, it was painless. Not a wince.<br>
I used a local anes cream before, maybe that helped.<br>
I had consulted an ENT doctor who does piercings, n he said no for a gunshot as my daughter was too young fr it at 6 mo-.<br>
Also a couple of friends had a terrible experience with it.<br>
The jeweller who came to do it said that it should be done as early as possible as later the babies start touching the ears n pull the earring etc. In some communities it's done at 12 days age.<br>
After it's done, apply oil or cream, n rotate the earring once or twice a day.<br>
Don't worry. It will be fine.<br>

I went with gunshot. Its painless. Only the sound scares them. So piercing the second one is more difficult :) my dr said any time after 6 mnths is good. Nowadays drs also do it. <u>Tc</u>
