question
hi any gynaecologist. ..i just completed 37 weeks and went to meet my dr today who advised me to undergo a c section next week i.e. at 38 weeks since my first kid was also born through c section and there might be chances of uterine rupture...can I wait till atleast 39 weeks or should go ahead.

p.s i have no complications, all tests are normal and baby's growth is also as per term.

It is difficult to ignore the doctor s advise. Although the standard recommendation is that if everything is normal and the reason for the previous surgery is not repeated medically then it is possible to attempt a vaginal birth after cesarean. You may want to read some information about VBAC.

If baby is not stressed inside and your gyno agrees to wait...then you can wait. Remember not to risk baby. There are many cases where c section in first and later normal delivery for second. It's just depends on the health and situation. Take care.
