hi does epidural is compulsory for labour pain?what r d side effects after delivery. m 8th month pregnant n bit worried
Epidural is an analgesia which is given to numb the area and hence remove the sensation and perception of pain. It is not compulsory. There are no long term side effects. You can decide once you are in labor based on how your labor is progressing, if it is long and very painful then consider it however if things are moving well then you can avoid it.
