hi Dr.Mugdha..My little one is 3 mnths old now..but i am having less milk supply..to chl that , i expressed milk whole day and offered her..she takes 90 to 100 ml every 2 to 2.5 hrs whereas i am able to express only 80 to 100 ml every 3 to 4 hrs..so i am always short of milk and have to give formula for 2 feeding sessions these days..
Is there anything i can do to increase my milk supply ?
...if i breast feed her directly she always asks for feed after one hour...how to increase supply as she grows older?

you should feed her directly...as Dr mugdha said if your baby is growing fine all ok...if you feed her directly she will be more satisfied than expressed milk... mother's touch works wonder and she will feel content...the no of feed will settle down in few days as you start feeding directly on demand

Eat bread with milk.. Or rice with milk.. Few methi seeds soaked overnight and take them early in d Mrng empty stomach.. U can see d change in supply with 2 days.. Only 5 or 6 seeds.. Not many.. Also garlic helps in developing milk supply.. All d best!

On a regular basis have per day 2-3 bowls of masoor dal with tadka of jeera in ghee.It increases milk production.

If your baby's latch is perfect, pee count more than 6-8 times in 24 hours and overall weight gain within normal range that is at least 500 gm each month for first 3 months then you do not have milk supply issue. Frequency of feeds does not matter. If your baby is asking more frequently that does not mean you have less milk supply.
