I am having lot of pelvic bone pain lately which makes it extremely difficult to walk or stand for long. Doctor has advised to do squats and kegel exercises to engage baby's head. How am I supposed to do these exercises inspite of such pain?☹️ Please guide me.
TIA.!

I had a very similar problem until recently. Two changes helped me immensely, one is to do kegels and second is to keep a pillow between your knees while sleeping in such a manner that the leg below the pillow is stretched straight and the other leg on the pillow is folded. I do not know about squats but I would definitely recommend massaging the area around your belly few times a day. All of these have immensely help me to get over the pain near my groin

Hi amruta
Doing squats just temporarily avoid if you have terrible pain. I suggest you do butterfly exercise and kegel is OK.
Any physical activity that causes pain should not be considered now.
This is a common issue, when you rest have side pillows, stretch your legs n rest for a while. Have short walks.

Yeah Amruta, its common during pregnancy but i am surprised she asked you to do squats this early. Usually its recommended post 36 weeks. Well,to ease pelvic bone pain you can start doing butterfly exercises,it really helps in relaxing and stretching the muscles around pelvis. I would suggest you do kegels, theres no effort in it and will again strengthen muscles down there. All the best!
