Hi everyone, I have been suggested by my gynea to go for an ultrasound scan that is to be conducted within 18-20 weeks. I want to know exactly what number of scans are to be done in a pregnency and also what are its side effects if done more then the required numbers in a normal pregnency. Will it affect baby's mental growth and development. Experts plz guide me through this.
I went through 4 scans.. so, I guess 4 to 5 scans are done.. and it does not effect your baby.. rather it helps you to know about overall growth of baby..

USG r not harmful instead they will help you understand how the baby is growing... also normally ders an USG at the end of every month until 5 i guess n derafter as frequently or rarely as ur gynae may advice

Hi dear usg is not harmful for baby.. And it best as u can have a proper knowledge of baby's development.. If Dr says it it should b done..
