Hi everyone. I have heavy period bleeding for the last two days. My gynae suggested dronis 30 as oral contraceptive from now on as a safe measure for intercourse. My baby is 3.5 months old and I am exclusively breastfeeding him. The med manual says that the medicine might cause reduction in the quality and quantity of milk. Plz throw light on this as I badly need a second approval before starting this pill. @Dr Shilpitha Singh plz help.

Calm down. Its good that you are concerned. But one thing is that your doctor knows you are breastfeeding and the effect of medicine will corely be on your bleeding part. It's over dose may have such effects, but you have an issue and you are prescribed. So it's not harmful

Hi dear. Thank you so much. The adverse effects also states that it could cause breast enlargement and jaundice in the baby through milk.Does that really happen?

Please trust your doctor and take meds. I had the same during my first pregnancy, but I could feed good amount of breastmilk.
